¡¡¡¡The second round of national TV conference concerning overloaded vehicles
opened recently, the conference encouraged and assigned work on curbing vehicle
overloading.
¡¡¡¡Hu Shaojun, vice-mayor and director of the Municipal Transportation
Commission, attended the conference in Qi
ngdao and did the sum-up. It has been
known that prompt and collective actions on vehicle overloading have been taken
since the beginning of the movement in June. With 8,600 vehicles checked and
23,000 tons of goods downloaded, the rate of vehicle overloading dropped from
80% to 8%.
¡¡¡¡The conference asks related governmental units to intensify supervision
work, especially on vehicles overloaded with sand and on those ignoring
